This Privacy Policy describes TelcoPlace B.V.’s policies regarding the collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of your personal data ("Privacy Policy"). This Privacy Policy applies to the website ("TelcoPlace") and all related websites, applications, services and tools referring to this policy (hereinafter "Services"), regardless of how you have gained access, including access or use by mobile devices. TelcoPlace B.V. bears the responsibility for data processing as is relevant for the Data Protection Act.


Scope and consent:
By using and its related services, you expressly consent to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.


TelcoPlace may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to read this regularly. Substantial changes in our Privacy Policy will be announced on our Website. The amended Privacy Policy becomes effective immediately following its immediate posting on our Website. This Privacy Policy is effective as of January 1, 2016.

2. What personal information do we collect

You may visit TelcoPlace without logging in through a registered account. When you decide to provide us with your personal information, you are consenting to the data being sent to and stored on our servers. "Personal Information" is information that can be linked to a specific person and can be used to identify a specific person. If the User data is combined or unidentifiable, this data can not be used to identify a person and is therefore not classified as personal data. We collect the following types of personal data:


Information we automatically collect: 
When you visit our websites, use our applications, services and tools or respond to Advertisements or other content, we automatically collect the accessible data sent to us by your computer, mobile device or other equipment. This data may include, but is not limited to:


  • The unique identity of the device or mobile device, type of device or device information regarding your geographical location, information about your computer and connection, statistics pertaining to page views, traffic to and from, referring URLs, advertisement data, IP address and

We collect and store any information you enter on our website or that you provide us with when using our Services. This data may include, but is not limited to:

  • data provided through dispute resolution, correspondence via our websites or correspondence we may receive and
  • information regarding your location and the location of your device, including the unique identity of your phone if you've enabled this service on your mobile device

Data from other sources: 
We may receive additional data about you or acquire further information from third parties and add it to our account information. This data may include, but is not limited to: demographics, navigational data, additional contact information and additional information about you from other sources, such as government agencies, to the extent permitted by law.


Following reports derived from the Hotline Police Internet Scams or otherwise, we may disclose information (including personal data) regarding certain disputes between Users and Advertisers by storing the data in the Trade Dispute Database ("TGD") of TelcoPlace, for example. The data TelcoPlace processes in this context is not defined by TelcoPlace on the basis of its own research, but is provided from users of TelcoPlace by means of a, information notification process on TelcoPlace or via Reporting Internet Scams and/or via information already present on the TelcoPlace website.

3. How we use your personal information

You agree that your personal information that we have collected (see above) may be used for the following purposes:


  • to grant you access to our services and customer support through email or by telephone
  • to avoid potentially prohibited or illegal activities, to detect and investigate fraud and violations of security, and enforce our Terms of Use (stopping suspicious conversations via our website)
  • to measure, tune and improve our services, content and Advertisements to your benefit
  • to contact you via email, push notification, text message (SMS) or phone to inform you of our services and the services of companies that are part of TelcoPlace, for the benefit of targeted marketing, updates and promotional offers based on your communication preferences, or for any other purpose as described in this Privacy Policy and
  • to provide you with the services you have requested, as noted when we collected the information



Data sharing and registration on social media sites
We can offer sign-on services which allow you to access or related websites using your login credentials from other websites. We can also offer services which allow you to share data with social media websites belonging to third parties, such as Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter.


If you grant us access to specific personal data stored on third party websites, the scope of the access to personal data will vary per site and will be determined by your own browser settings and your set permissions. If you wish to connect a third party account to your TelcoPlace account and you authorise us to access this information, you agree that we may collect data from these third-party websites, use and store that data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.



Transfer of your personal data to third parties:
We may disclose your personal data to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws and regulations. As further described below in article 4, we do not disclose your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes without your express consent. We may share your personal information with:


  • TelcoPlace’s enterprises in order to provide joint content and services (such as registration and customer support), to prevent possible illegal activity, policy violations, to detect and investigate fraud and/or breaches of data security, and to help in decisions about products, websites, applications, services, tools and communication. TelcoPlace’s enterprises will only use this information to send you marketing messages when you have personally requested their services, and will use your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
  • Contracted service providers that help us offer our services on our website (think financials, sales offices and technical support). In such cases, personal data remains under TelcoPlace’s control.
  • Certain third parties (such as holders of intellectual property rights, supervisors, tax department, police and other legal authorities) if we are required by laws and regulations to do so or see reason to do so under this Privacy Policy.
  • We may share your personal information:

- to comply with legal obligations or a court order or

- if this is necessary for the prevention, detection or prosecution of criminal offenses (such as fraud, deceit or prosecution) or

- if it is necessary to enforce our policies in order to protect the rights and freedom of others

  • Additional third parties to whom you have given permission to share your information with TelcoPlace (e.g. in the context of cooperation).
  • Companies with whom a merge is planned in the context of a reorganisation or by whom we are bought out.
  • Members of our “Notice of Infringement Program”, if the owner of an intellectual property right or an intermediary serving in good faith believes that an Advertisement violates the rights of the owner. Before any personal information is provided, an agreement with all participants in the "Notice of Infringement Program” will be concluded guaranteeing that the information only be made available under the strict condition that it be used in the context of legal proceedings and/or in obtaining legal advice and/or to answer questions from the advertiser in question.


Without limiting the aforementioned, and in our stride to respect your privacy and keep the website free of people or parties with harmful intentions, we shall not relate your personal information to law enforcers, other government officials or other third parties without a court order or formal request from the government in accordance with applicable law, unless we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to prevent an imminent threat of injury or financial loss or to report suspected illegal activity.


Information you share on
Our website gives Users the ability to share listings and other data with other Users, making this shared information accessible to other users. Since you will also be able to get in touch with a buyer or seller on our website, we encourage you to carefully consider how you share your personal data. You are personally responsible for the personal information you share through our website. Therefore, we can not guarantee the privacy or security of the data you share with other users.


We strongly recommend that you sign out from a shared computer or a computer used in an Internet cafe after each session, if you have visited our website. 6. Accessing, viewing and editing your personal information

We can not change your personal and account information. You can personally change your data and settings by logging into your “My TelcoPlace” account. When you post something publicly, you may not be able to change or delete your message (Advertisement).


If you would like to close your account with us, please send us a request to do so. We will process your request within a reasonable period of time and process your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. Alternatively, you can also contact Customer Support to review your personal data that is stored but not directly accessible on TelcoPlace, unless TelcoPlace is not bound to provide such access under the Data Protection Act. To be able to comply with your request, we will need the following from you:

  • A signed version of your application that contains your contact information and your listed e-mail address
  • A copy of your valid identity card (after checking, TelcoPlace will destroy it)

A processing fee may be charged for costs incurred; this fee will not exceed the statutory authorized amount allowed. If your data is factually incorrect or incomplete or irrelevant for the purposes for which we process your data, you can ask us to modify your data or delete it. 7. Protection and storage of your personal data

We protect your data using technical and administrative security measures to minimise the risk of loss, abuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and tampering. By this, we mean firewalls, data encryption, and physical and administrative access controls to data and servers. Personal data is stored no longer than is legally permissible and we delete personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes described above.

8. Other information

Misuse and unsolicited commercial communication ("spam"): We do not tolerate the misuse of TelcoPlace. You do not have permission to add other Users of to your mailing list (email or post), even if a User has purchased something from you, unless you have explicit permission from the User. If you notice someone abusing our website (via spam or spoof emails), we ask you to send an email to or If you think you have discovered a vulnerability in a website hosted by TelcoPlace, we ask you to send an email to including an explanation of the discovered vulnerability.


It is forbidden to use our communication channels to send spam or otherwise send content that violates our Terms of Use. For your safety, messages can and will automatically be checked for spam, viruses, phishing and other malicious activity or illegal or prohibited content. Messages sent through these means, however are not permanently stored.


Third Parties: Unless expressly determined otherwise in this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy applies only to the use and transfer of information we collect from you. TelcoPlace has no control over the privacy policies third parties employ which may apply to you. When we work with third parties or use third-party tools to provide certain services, we will explicitly specify the privacy policy that is applicable to you.
